I was having some trouble with my nVidia Corporation CK804 Ethernet Controller during heavy traffic usage.
The ethernet controller kept going offline and I saw these messages in syslog:
eth0: too many iterations (6) in nv_nic_irq
During one of the forced reboots, my raid 5 became mysteriously inactive. It turns out 2 of my drives were marked as not-clean.
To recover, I issued the following commands:
sudo mdadm --stop /dev/md0
sudo mdadm --assemble --scan --force
